Dr. phil. Margrit Jütte
In my search for a true reconnection with myself and the world, I traveled far and wide. Even at a young age, I was interested in dreams, extraordinary states of consciousness, and, above all, spiritual healing. Over the years, I have encountered the so-called night journey of the soul several times.
Research in South America
From the mid-1990s onward, I conducted research as an ethnologist in Colombia on the topics of shamanism, ethnomedicine, and ritual transfer. To this day, I consider it a great gift to have been repeatedly able to spend extended periods of time with indigenous cultures, especially the A'i Cofán, the Ingá, and Camentsá, as well as other groups (Emberá, Paéz, Arhuaco, and others). I not only collected interesting research material, but above all, I was able to have extremely enriching experiences on a personal level. And of course, I didn't just conduct research in South America, I also lived there—and how!
After researching and actively pursuing this topic for a total of 18 years, I completed my dissertation in 2014 on the local cultural context and indigenous ethics of Yagé/Ayahuasca use, using the example of the Cofán. In doing so, I also examined the changes this shamanic ritual has undergone in transnational settings: Over the years, I observed the explosive international interest in the use of this psychoactive plant and the resulting global dynamics with growing ambivalence. => Bücher & Co
Encounter with Deep Imagery
In 2002, I discovered a very decisive and life-saving key during a major crisis when I encountered Dr. Eligio Stephen Gallegos and the healing power of Deep Imagery (PTPP®) – a depth psychology-based imagery technique in which Steve personally trained me profoundly over many years. In August 2023, Steve began his journey into the great mystery. He was one of the most generous and, in the best sense, humane people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
To this day, I view Deep Imagery as a tremendous treasure that enables us humans to lovingly reconnect with our wholeness, experience trauma-sensitive personal growth, and spiritual healing. Furthermore, an authentic connection to our imagination holds immense creative potential.
Today
For 18 years, I've been working in this way in individual settings and workshops with people from different countries and cultures, sometimes in very different contexts. Deep imagination is a dimension within us as humans that I continually experience as deeply vibrant, wise, and extremely creative. We don't have to travel far or consume psychoactive substances to grow and heal. We have everything within us. In any case, I find it extremely relaxing to no longer be the eternal seeker I once was...
Silence, nature, writing, music, and singing healing songs are also essential to me. My own songs, in turn, are closely connected to my own inner journeys, which, of course, never end...
I thank from the bottom of my heart all the wonderful souls who have been and/or are my companions.
